Palm Beach Gardens Elementary Modernization
Palm Beach Gardens Elementary Modernization
CR Klewin Southeast Inc, GG and Davco Electrical Contractors have completed the project to build, replace and modernize Palm Beach Gardens Elementary School. The Palm Beach Gardens Elementary replacement project consists of the demolition of the existing 43 year old facility and construction of a new state of the art facility within the same general footprint of the existing campus. The new facility will provide 2 pre-kindergarten, 8 kindergarten, 14 primary (2 of which are ESE) and 12 intermediate classrooms. Supplemental classroom spaces including Skills Labs and Resource rooms will also be provided. Facility support spaces include Administration, Media Center, Teacher Planning, Multipurpose (cafeteria & stage) and Physical Education areas. Upon completion there will be provission of about 121,000 gross square feet of construction on this 11+ acre site. In providing a new educational facility, an opportunity was created wherein the existing school campus could be completely reshaped. This allows for a reorganization of the circulation around and on the campus eliminating the existing traffic problems faced by the adjacent residents and campus users. This reorganization further allows for a safer campus as seen in the orientation of the building and clear sight lines through the playfields to the building's perimeter. The new parent drop-off/staff driveway entrances on Ironwood and Bus Loop driveway on Holly Dr. will relieve traffic congestion on the surrounding residences. |
