Satellite Beach High School

Satellite Beach High School

The School board of Brevard County announced on September 5, 2007 that Davco Electrical Contractors Corp., in conjunction with The Weitz Company, the General Contractor, was awarded the contract to replace and modernize Satellite Beach High School. The first phase to be completed in the Autumn of 2008.

All together there are seven buildings raised on this site.  There are a total of 8 buildings that varied from new construction to new additions, renovations and to minor additions and changes.

Area included new science labs, home economic labs, academic classrooms, administration offices and remodeled locker room facilities.  All classroom areas received new state of the art audio/video teacher aided systems, upgrades to the fire alarm, intercom and voice & data structured cabling throughout the campus.

In addition to the work inside the buildings, there was massive site utility work that took place to facilitate the rearranged campus.  All new underground infrastructures were installed while keeping the campus open and operating.

While all that was going on, Davco Electrical Contractors installed new Musco Sports Lighting on the softball field and site lighting for the new parking lot.
