County Pines Rec. Complex - West Palm Beach
County Pines Recreational Complex, at Samuel Friedland Park, is a new 75-acre district park being developed by Palm Beach County to meet the growing recreational needs of the western communities, including The Acreage, in Loxahatchee, Florida. The project consist of four lighted Little League baseball fields, one lighted Pony League field, two lighted softball fields and three lighted athletic fields for football and soccer. The complex also includes a large multi-purpose open area, a two-story press box complex and restrooms. Additional amenities will include a jogging path, a group picnic shelter, a 15-acre lake and a large parking lot. Phase II will include a full community center/gymnasium, basketball courts and an equestrian area. On June 20, 2005, Davco Electrical Contractors Corp. was awarded the contract to implement all electrical lighting for this facility, working with West Construction.
