The PGA Learning Center, a state-of-the-art 35-acre golf park with a 12,000-square-foot Welcome Center, is a part of the award-winning PGA Golf Club at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Fla., which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. PGA Village features three public golf courses that are designed by world-renowned course designers Tom Fazio and Pete Dye and have earned Audubon Signature Status for adhering to strict environmental requirements. Created by the teachers of the game, The Professional Golfers Association of America, golf park features one of the largest and most advanced practice facilities in the world. Dedicated to teaching, the facility recreates actual scenarios found in the game of golf, including fairway target areas, practice greens, chipping areas, nine different types of world-class bunkers and over 100 private practice stations. In addition, the center features state-of-the-art video analysis, computer imaging, complete club fitting services on-site and a complete fitness center. Celebrating its 90th anniversary, The PGA of America was founded in 1916, and is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the game of golf, while continuing to enhance the standards of the profession. The Association is comprised of more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals who are dedicated to growing participation in the game of golf. Davco Electrical Contractors Corp. provided the sports lighting for this complex including bunker lighting throughout the range area, which permits the player to follow their shot from leaving the club, to hitting the pin. Completed in 1999, this project remains a pinnacle in golf facility sports lighting.
