Don Birth leaf Construction Manager
Donald began his 30 year career in the electrical industry in South Florida. Graduating from Plantation High School in the top 10% of his class, he had developed an aptitude for detail. Enrolling in Construction School for Continuing education and Mike Holts School for Electricians, set the foundation for Donald's vocation.

In 1975, Donald joined a local electrical contractor where he stayed for six years developing his skills. During that time he obtained his Journeyman License in both Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

In 1982, Donald acquired his Master Electricians License in both Palm Beach and Broward Country and then started his own company.

Working in all phases of commercial and residential electrical systems, company projects consisted of shopping centers, industrial buildings, apartment complexes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, residential housing projects, gas stations, marina and dock electrical design and installation, and aircraft hangers.

With the business growing outside the south Florida boundaries, Donald attained the coveted State of Florida Certified Unlimited Electrical Contractor License in 1982.

Coming up through the ranks, Donald's skills include everything from hands on electrical installations of power supplies, emergency generators control cabinets, security and fire protection systems to extensive project planning and management, field engineering, estimating, purchasing and supervision of 150 employees.

Donald has brought this level of professional experience and expertise to the Commercial Division, which will reflect in the continued quality Davco Electrical Contractor Corp customers have come to expect.

Donald holds a Green Advantage-Commercial certification.

Toby Pettigout General Superintendent
Beginning his career as an electrician in the Air Force, providing maintenance at the Northern Air Defense Command (NORAD) from 1976 to 1979; Toby began his civilian life as a service electrician in 1980, working his way up to Project Forman on industrial and commercial projects.

Toby was awarded his Journeyman Electrician License in 1982 and started specializing in sports lighting systems in 1983. Toby became a member of Davco Electrical Contractors Corp. team in 1997 as Project Forman, specializing in large commercial projects.

His wide-ranging electrical expertise has resulted in Toby becoming one of the go-to expert in the company. Promoted to General Superintendent in 2001, Toby is responsible for overseeing all commercial projects at Davco Electrical Contractors Corp.

Toby possesses both a Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services Security Clearance Badge and a Palm Beach International Airport Airside Clearance Security Badge.

Michael Poling General Superintendent
Michael started as an apprentice electrician in Denver, Colorado in 1972, concentrating on residential and small commercial projects. After earning his Journeyman Electrical License in 1977, he began working as a Foreman on larger commercial projects, including several Military installations ranging from high voltage systems to voice/data systems. Michael's electrical background is diverse managing electrical projects including 5 large airports across the United States, High Voltage Projects and Green Projects.

Recognizing his skill at supervising crews, management promoted Michael to General Superintendent in 1995 and then to Project Manager in 1999 overseeing all projects within the company.

Michael relocated to South Florida in 2003 and joined the Davco Electrical Contractors Corp. team as a commercial Foreman. Within one year, Michael's excellent skills at managing large projects and interacting with our customers became apparent.

He was promoted to General Superintendent in charge of all Davco Electrical projects at Palm Beach International Airport, where the company has maintained a continual presence since 2000.

Michael possesses both a Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services Security Clearance Badge and a Palm Beach International Airport Airside Clearance Security Badge.

Tony Glassmire General Superintendent
Tony started his career in electrical while serving in the the USN from 1979 to 1983. He then went on to commercial electrical work as a project foreman for ten years until he was promoted to assistant superintendant in 1995.

In 1997 he was promoted to General Superintendent over several projects including Telecom Switch Facilities, Retail Centers and Site Development.

Tony worked in Commercial, Residental and Industrial projects for over twenty years until he joined us here at Davco Electrical Contractor's Corporation in 2002 over seeing various jobs including but not limited too PBCC College, Seminole Trails Elementary and Wellington Aquatic Center.

Ken Shoaf Assistant Project Manager
Ken began his career at 14 years old, working part time in the family Electrical Contracting business. After high school Ken acquired his Palm Beach County Journeyman's license and worked at various companies expanding his knowledge and expertise.

Ken has managed residential and commercial projects, some which employed from 50 to 300 employees. His responsibilities have included; budget management, inventory and material control, operations and project management.

Ken's 33 years electrical experience, diverse background and strong attention to detail make him a valuable team member in Davco's Commercial Division.

Alice Harsh Project Manager Assistant
Alice joined Davco Electrical Contractors Corp., in November, 2006 as Project Manager Assistant for the Commercial Division.

Responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, including implementing operational and/or fiscal policies; compiling and interpreting data for the operating division programs, and executing the policies and procedures established by management.

Alice also drafts financial, statistical, narrative and/or other reports as requested and required. She composes reports and correspondence, proposal and pre-qualification packages, and request/maintains all Bid Bonds/Insurance Certificates. She also arranges and implements all division conferences, committee meetings and all travel arrangements for the division.

Alice acquired her substantial experience in executive administration, working for a small appliance manufacturer as an Account Coordinator, where for over six years she managed the accounts of multiple Fortune 500 wholesale customers. Responsible for budget and sales forecasts, cost analysis, placing and tracking international production lines and orders, and coordinating new product development.

After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Bentley College, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Alice worked as a Key Account Service Representative for a large warehouse trading company specializing in business to business accounts.

With her formal education and substantial field experience in account management, including administrative and customer service skills, Alice is a significant asset to the Commercial Division Team.
