Project Manager

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be experienced in commercial electrical work and government projects. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

The Project Manager focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible and the essential duties are: 

• Leading project planning meetings
• Coordinating staff, materials, and internal resources
• Managing project progress and adapt work as required
• Ensuring projects meet deadlines
• Managing relationships with clients
• Understand, abide by & implement contracts terms
• Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
• Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
• Designing risk mitigation plan
• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
• Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
• Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects
• Managing large and diverse teams
• Building project budgets & tracking project expenses
• Creating & ensuring construction schedules and labor needs are met
• Ensuring excellence in work safety, performance, and quality

Project Manager job qualifications and requirements:

• 7+ Commercial Electrical Experience
• Blueprint Reading
• Understanding billing, budgeting, documentation, reporting and material requisitions
• Leaderships Skills and Management Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to manage high stress situations
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
• Big-picture thinking and vision
• Attention to detail
• Conflict resolution skills
