Vaughn Collins, son of founder and owner David B. Collins, Jr., has been a part of Davco since he was a child. The start of his professional journey began in high school, where he worked part-time at the company in the Estimating Department for his OJT classes. This is where he learned the skills of reading blueprints and estimating the costs of various jobs. After graduating high school, Vaughn made the decision to dedicate his life to contribute to the growth of the family business.

He wanted to ensure that he understood every tier of Davco, so after graduating from high school, he wasted no time moving into the field and worked from the ground-up. Being aware of the importance of credibility and academia, Vaughn also completed a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program. His hands-on approach to the business, paired with his apprenticeship has given him the tools and skillset to achieve great things at our company.

Vaughn has sat in many chairs since his start with our company in 2003, however, his areas of expertise are construction of new parks and stadiums, and the installation/maintenance of Sports Lighting Systems. Passionate about his work and the longevity of his family’s business, Vaughn is truly a great asset and irreplaceable member of our team.
